Prize giving

And also, the Closing Ceremony and Prize-giving Ceremony is after the Cheerleading competition... so stay on especially those that have medals to collect...

AND I urge all the Sports Captains to be around to collect yr medals with yr team if possible because there's a Group Photo session as well...

If however the Sports Captains can't make it, anyone from the team can collect on behalf as well...

The events for the Prize-giving Ceremony will start in Alphabetical order; which means the medals will be given out starting with B-asketball and ending with V-olleyball.

***Cheerleading is scheduled to start at 7:30pm but be there early because it will be a full house on every floors (1st to 3rd), and it's first go first look...

***Nobody is allowed on the Ground Floor during Cheer except for the Cheerleaders. The main sliding door will be locked at 7pm. However, everybody will be allowed down after the Cheer competition...

Thankyou ~ 23

All good things come to an end.

THIS IS IT...

IMU Cup, sadly, will be ending tonight.

The last and final competition for IMU Cup 2011...

[CHEERLEADING]

This is probably the most strenuous (cuts & bruises), effort-inserted, stressful, injurious sport that the participants are involved in. All the practices, hours of midnight oil burnt in fire, will come down to just 2.5 minutes.

I would like to HUGELY thank the whole Team of Cheerleaders for really working hardhardhard, and committing themselves to such an event for lenghty period of time and long period of hours.

Especially to our ever superbly determined and hardcore working Cheer Captain & Hydra Vice Captain Amelia Yeoh for mapping out the whole Cheer routine, for dedicating her life, time and health to Cheer (not kidding yo!)...

ALL THE BEST to the Hydra Cheerleading Team (consisting of 23 Hydraians)!
No pressure, just do your very best tonight and HYDRA will stand by all of you no matter the outcome... the main thing is to HAVE FUN!!!

Experience the moment, and live every minute of it (the minutes aren't many)... because for some people, this will be your last IMU Cup and probably last IMU Cheer participation...

And our standings in the IMU Cup will be determined accurately tonight, and whatever position we get, we shall accept it with Pride and Honour/Honor, as we've been doing for every sport that we participate in over the course of these 2 long months...

We're all in this together, we have fun together, we team-work together, we bond together, we haha-hehe-huhu (depends which laughter is selected at the given moment in time) together and we take on Robot-boxers together...

"Hydra We Fight, Hydra We Fight, Hydra We Fight... H-Y-D-R-A!
Go HYDRA we say... V-I-C-TO-RY... Come on Hydra!
fight, Fight, FIGHT!!!

Hail HYDRA!!23!!"

Let's fight for one last time in the year 2-0-1-1;

Track and Field update

[Track and Field] - 3

" v'Dayum!!! "

A hot day at UPM, a human-packed Track and Field day that saw runners and long jumpers and volunteers perspired with a bright touch of sun-burning on the superficial surface of the skin.

A HUMOUNGOUS Thankyou goes out to the volunteers that day, Maisarah Amran, Rachel Chung, Stefanie Chen Woi Sean, Yean May and 2 external sources of assistance; Nyin Hui aka Keps and Jennyfer Soo.

And a small appreciation for a volunteer who agreed and almost came... but couldn’t due to Subconscious Responsibilities that might involve being involved in a Dream within a Dream; Preman Silvaraju

Congratulations to the TEAM, you all really showed true fighting spirit...
Sze Ling and Yao Jie as mentioned before fought through injuries,
Keng Yuen ran perseveringly even with an increasing lactic acid build-up in the leg compartments,
AND Alex Yu ... sigh haha just kidding, I mean Alex, who took his time to help Hydra to run and long jump (barefooted somemore, eww microorganisms)... we really appreaciate yr time and effort (don’t worry about what happened haha :P)

AND Last but not even close to the Least, a Round of Applause to our Track and Field Captains *clap* *clap*;
Pui Mun better known to other houses as ‘The Machine’ or ‘Bionic Woman’ and
Joseph Cheah Ern Yao who is also known as to his esteemed peers and collegues as Jozie/Josephine/Joselyn/Bunny Cheah/Yao Yao/Still-got-somemore-but-nvm
WHO took their time to arrange practices, who trained the team with organized regimens AND drove the team on the Day itself...

Although overall we got 4th, but Hydra Track and Field team showed Strength, Determination, Courage and Fearlessness (somehow)... yea like seriously they did!

And that's Priceless, MasterCard®...

It was Awesome stuff, the Team in combined form could even possibly match
The Avengers team!

Like Sandra Jean Lee once wrote... “It’s not about the Medals, It’s about the Spirit :)”

It can’t get any Truthier than that -

Bowling update

"Super Close"

... is the word to describe the product of the Bowling swing... 4th placing was the end result BUT the Team was an inch away from overcoming the 3rd placed overall score...

Aiks, but they tried their level BEST and played hard til the end...

Really appreciate all of your time playing, especially for practices even though it was individual-based...

Thankyou 23 much to the Team of Bowlers; Eng Yew Lim, Amelia Yeoh and our Bowling Captain ---> Wason Tai !

"Unexpected Awesomeness"

We lost to Griffin in the semi-finals but took charge of the 3rd and 4th placing against Pegasus, and relished an awesome 3rd placing!

HIStory-making day as our Darts Captain Jonathan Samuel Easaw won a game with a bull's eye, and A BIG THANKYOU to the team of players who showed composure, love(kissing the Darts before shooting) and powerful optimism throughout the day. Very little Parkinson's disease was displayed and that's just so Kung Fu Panda! -

Message from the House captain

Wow... where do I begin?

"Let's wind the clocks back a year... these Cops and Lawyers wouldn't dare cross any of you... I mean what happened?"

O kay, what a weekend (15th - 16th October 2011) it has been for Hydra for the IMU Cup, and basically what a week as well (trainings, injurious moments, travel to practice).

Words can't describe the intensity of joy and determination that was seen throughout the weekend, but thankfully, the English language still has vocabulatory words left for me to use.

But since our Greatful Hydraians have reported and provided Words of Appreciation, I shall keep my Sportscenter round-up brief and divided in the opposite direction (Darts, Bowling, Track & Field)
